The timing seems a bit off -- just as the Razzies are given out the same weekend as the Academy Awards, shouldn't TV's dishonors come out at the same time as the Emmy Awards? -- but the categories and choices in the Bennie Awards are pretty inspired, including "Worst Show Featuring a Kardashian."

Anyone can vote in this Worst TV of 2011 contest through Friday. Just visit Hollywood Temp Diaries to cast your vote.

Hollywood, CA -- The Hollywood Temp Diaries
(http://www.tempdiaries.com) today opened voting for the third annual
Bennie Awards -- recognizing the worst in prime time TV.  It is the
only award that honors television the same way the Razzies celebrate
the silver screen.

"So much of television today is either a glorified high school talent
show, people getting hit in the groin for cash or product placements
disguised as dramas.  These shows deserve recognition for their
'efforts,' and that's where I come in," said Temp X, the legendary
creator of The Hollywood Temp Diaries.

Visitors to the official Bennies website
(http://www.tempdiaries.com/p/bennie-awards.html) can vote from the
list of finalists any time between today and February 10, 2012.  The

- Worst Actress
- Worst Actor
- Worst Reality (Female)
- Worst Reality Personality (Male)
- Worst Show Featuring a Kardashian
- Pushing Daisies Award (recognizing best show canceled too soon)
- Worst Reality Show
- Worst Scripted Show

The results will be announced at a gala online affair, hosted by an
Eddie Murphy impersonator, on February 21, 2011.  Winners in their
respective categories will receive the fabled Golden Garbage Can.

Temp X continued, "I wish I didn't have to do The Bennies again, but
network execs continue to serve up poorly conceived, banal
programming.  Until they stop, I'll continue to have these awards.
One of these days they'll learn. On the plus side, at least NBC never
released 'Wonder Woman.'  I heard it was crap."

The Bennies pay homage to Hollywood's king of bad programming
decisions -- former NBC Head Ben Silverman.  Last year's winners on
the Reality/Unscripted side were Sarah Palin (Worst Female), Ryan
Seacrest (Worst Male) and "Sarah Palin's Alaska" (Worst Show).
AnnaLynne McCord, Ed Westwick and "Hellcats" won for Worst Actress,
Worst Actor and Worst Show, respectively. The Pushing Daisies Award,
recognizing the best show that was cancelled too soon, went to ABC's
"Better off Ted."
